heh. I like the fact you brought in two supposedly opposing concepts in life: science vs. ethics. ethics being a loosely used term. yes, science (loosely used term here again) have shown that some socially accepted norms are not exactly beneficial to species-survival behaviours. Just adds to the fact taht we're a social species and that social norms have become as important or more important than survival behaviour.
